Over 3,000 Amazon Delivery Drivers Will Lose Their Jobs
Business Insider reports that over 3,200 Amazon delivery drivers will be laid off by the end of April.
Amazon's third-party delivery partners announced thousands of layoffs in recent months, as the company cuts ties with some of its contractors.
The 3,200 planned layoffs come after over 2,000 delivery workers lost their jobs in October.
In January and February, Amazon Air Prime partners also announced layoffs of about 3,000 workers.
According to Buzzfeed, Amazon is in the process of severing ties with some delivery contractors, instead working with smaller and less expensive contractors.
These partners usually work exclusively for Amazon and deliver packages to businesses and homes.
Despite the layoffs, Amazon's delivery network is still growing, while they hire new, smaller contractors.
